South Polar Cap (SPC) not seen. No clouds or hood in South Polar Region
detected. Hellas appeared slightly brighter with orange filter. Mare Cimmerium
dull on p. limb followed by darker M Tyrrhenum. Syrtis Major dusky to dark on CM
followed by dusky Sabaeus Sinus. Deucalionis Regio to the south appeared lighter.
Morning limb haze (MLH) and evening limb haze (ELH) did not appear to extend all
the way to the southern limb. North Polar Hood (NPH) appeared
bright but not bluish. Disk very small in eyepiece.
