(Note) : Poor seeing, difficult observation. Detail almost completely washed out except in 25W (red) filter. Even then, much loss of detail and bright limb glare. But Solas Lacus was viewed a darkest area, near the terminator, merging with Mare Sirenum towards the following limb. In moments of better seeing, a slight darkening was seen in the north, near Olympus Mons.

Notes: Seeing: 6/10 Transparency: 5/6 Temp: 53°F Wind calm. High intermittent clouds.
  South Polar Cap (SPC) very small and hard to detect even with filters. Mare Chronium is dark area north of SPC. Aonius Sinus on preceding limb followed by Mare Sirenum on the central meridian (CM). M. Sirenum appears dark. Mare Cimmerium appears dark on following limb. Smudge on north preceding limb possibly the shadow of Olympus Mons. Morning limb haze (MLH) very prominent. North Polar Hood (NPH) appears bluish.
