. . . . I am sorry I did not include the specifics on my ccd camera when I sent
the images. I used a Lynxx PC ccd camera with a Murnighan IR rejection filter
threaded to a 2X Barlow. By using an eyepiece projection tube I was able
to get my Effective Focal Ratio up to about f/20. I used a Wratten 25,
58, 80A, and 47 for the red, green, blue and violet images respectively.
Exposure times were .3, .4, .6 and 5 seconds for the red, green, blue, and
violet images. Seeing was only fair-perhaps a 3-4 on a scale of 1-10 with 10
best. There were high clouds during the exposures. I hope my omission of this
data did not cause too much interruption in your schedule. I remain sincerely
yours,

. . . . . . . . . Please find enclosed my Mars observations from 1 May to 15
May. I also took Video on two nights which I forward to you once I get the
files. I hope all is well with you and your colleagues. Sincerely
PS: I plan on observing Mars in Video and
visual around times predicted for possible flash phenomena. Of course, I will
forward any interesting results immediately.

. . . . . . . . . I am happy to report I was able to send out observations today
to CMO from May 1 to May 15. Hopefully they will arrive in 4-5 days. I am also
enclosing a video image of Mars made using a web cam and my 155mm f7
refractor. I may have recruited another avid Mars observer. His name is Arondo
Holmes, and he helped me secure the image I have enclosed. He seems very
enthusiastic, and wants to take many more images. I will forward them as we
obtain them. I will keep this short as I know you are intensely busy. The info
on the image file is as follows:

PhA=23.
