@ . . . . . Congratulations to Japan on the launch of Nozomi (Planet-B) Mars probe last July! I am looking forward to Oct 1999 when Planet B reaches Mars.
Enclosed is my first drawing of Mars for the 1999 opposition. The air was steady, and the north polar cap and the north polar collar were both distinct. I will send a reprint of my 1997 Mars report when reprints arrive.
