Drawings made by Hiroshi ISHADOH on 25 June 2001 (184°Ls) at LCM=279, 289, 301, 311°W by the use of a Newtonian having a 31 cm speculum at magnification 400, 530x. The Observation Site was at Shuri, Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. The night, Seeing: 6/10 and Transparency: 4~5/5.
ISHADOH started from 13:20 GMT at LCM=269°W and observed six times the night until 16:50 GMT at LCM=320°W.
ISHADOH noted that the southern dark markings were faint due to
a dusty atmosphere, and also it was hard to see the detail
inside Hellas. There was seen a light small area adjacent to the
northern border of Hellas (as seen at LCM= 301°W). The Hesperia
area became quite dusty and diffused as it rotated to the
evening limb.
