New Building

Since its construction in 1978, the "New Buliding" has been the center of research at Kwasan Observatory. It is equipped with a data analysis system consisting of many computers and multimedia devices. Here researchers and graduate students work with data obtained at Hida observatory and other institutes, and also data obtained by space based scientific satellites.

Workstations running Linux are used for image processing and numerical simulations.
Video data analysis room
The system is arranged for analysis of film and video data.
