Dear Masatsugu,
Attached is another
image of Mars from July. Sorry to be so slow in sending them. This one is from 7-18-03,
0750UT. I used a 25 cm refl., 2× barlow and ToUcam Pro. No filter was used. Registax and PSP was used for
processing.
We have had monsoons
for weeks on the east coast, but Friday morning Mars could be seen before fog
set in and the view through the 7" was one of the best I've had.
If you did not receive my previous email let me know as I
was having some trouble with my browser that day.
Sincerely,

Dear Masatsugu,
Enclosed is a previous image taken on
7-26-03 at 0714UT. The instrument was the 18 cm refr.
with a 3× barlow and no filter.
The camera was a ToUcam Pro and was processed with Registax
and Paint Shop Pro. I am surprised how much subtle detail can be seen in the
cap. Weather conditions here should improve soon. From 18th to 26th I will be
trying to observe from

Dear Masatsugu,
Attached is an image of Mars taken with the 25 cm f/12 refl. on 8-14-03
at 0525 UT. A 3× barlow
and no filter was used. It was hazy with transparency of 3 and seeing was 8-9.
The cloud over Olympus Mons was only glimpsed once though the eyepiece. The Toucam was used with Registax and
PSP for processing.
Sincerely,

Dear Masatsugu,
Attached is a jpg
from 8-15-03
at 0549 UT. I used the 25cm refl. with a 3× barlow, Sirius near infrared
filter and Tou cam Pro. It was processed with Registax and PSP. Seeing was not as good as the previous
night, but transparency was better. Some clouds over Tharsis Volcanos?
Sincerely,
