Subject: Hires Mars imaging
Dear all,
I'm proud to say the Italian Mars Team strikes again!
Here attached our best results till now; we composed some
IRGB and RGB images with different scopes and cameras taken at the same time
under the good sky of Mid Appennines, in the heart of
Italy.
Most of them are supposed to show the crater of Olympus Mons
as a small dark dot within the white Nix Olympica!

transparency. R+IR luminance only due to the hard weather
conditions.
Remarkable the triangular shape
of the SPC with a large prominence toward Argyre.

Dear all,
Here my latest Mars image under good to excellent seeing and
good transparency. That's for sure my best Mars image for this Great Oposition: I don't believe to take a better image in the
future with my actual equipment! Unfortunately the G filter crashed so I was
not able to take the usual RGB color image. Hope to fix this boring problem as
soon.
Notice the very conspicuous prominence stretching from the
SPC captured in the first 3 images! Is there some particular feature?

La ripresa del
20 agosto è probabilmente una
delle mie migliori riprese Marziane di quest’anno,
il seeing era veramente notevole, visualmente Marte era spettacolare, con tutte le indentazioni della calotta ben
evidenti.
