Subject: Fw: MARS OBSERVATION on 20 August

The seeing and transparency were the best last night in weeks. The early evening sky had some clouds and some haze, so I did not arrange to drive to the RAS observatory unfortunately. At midnight I looked out to behold a very clear sky with little star twinkling, so I assembled my 6" maksutov in the backyard for the best view of Mars I've had since last apparition!
