Valimberti on 9 Aug
Dear Masatsugu :
Maurice last's image is certainly one of the best ever taken, to my opinion.
The morning haze (Solis Lacus is obscured) and the NPH are very nicely shot !

Hello everyone :
last night my sky was still hazy but the seeing was quite good. The fair
transparency has ruined a bit the first G and B images ! There are still white
clouds other the afternoon Tharsis. In the SPC the Thyles
Mons are prominent. Exactly like in Antoniadi's map
of the springtime SPC...

Hello everyone :
here is the latest. The transparency is still going poor/fair but the seeing
was a bit better than on the previous days ! Hopefully
the clouds here will wash a bit the atmosphere. Again, some white clouds other
Tharsis.

Dear all: the sun shines again here but
the seeing at night is atrocious. The images are OK, though. The excellent
transparency has however allowed me to take a good B image (apart of the bad
seeing). The morning mist is well visible, as the Argenteus Mons and Novissima
Thyle in the SPC.

Hi all, these days a friend of mine
kindly allows me to use his CN212 - so I can make images with a more powerful
instrument. Last night, the seeing recovered to fairly good - here are the
images. Novissima Thyle looks completely separated from the cap now. What
interested me more are the clouds over Acidalium: the NPH is prominent in blue,
but even the IR image seems to show a streak of clouds, so maybe there is a few
dust with the white clouds.

Hi all: again poor seeing last night.
There has been a correct moment however when I used the RG610 filter. It's
interesting to note a very conspicuous morning haze over Solis Lacus and
Tharsis; and still a dust streak on Mare Acidalium.
