I'm writing from
Tom Dobbins's house -- amazingly, we have Ed Grafton, Mike Davis and a number
of other outstanding planetary imaging people here. Unfortunately, the weather
has been dismal since I personally arrived on Friday -- we had just a brief
view of the Syrtis Major hemisphere of Mars before the transparency fell on
early Saturday morning. The dark markings were well defined.
I'll ask Grafton
about the cloud.
