Hi Masami,
I just realised I used the wrong date for my latest Mars
observation. Please find the attached corrected version and delete the previous

Dear Masami,
Prompted by all the dust talk on the
Mars newsgroup I decided to have a look as well because you never know if it
will be the last opportunity to shoot a decent image. Seeing was average. I
used Registax to focus since it gives me an indication how sharp the stacked
image is going to be and used Animation shop to set the brightness level as
high as possible without over exposure. There is still no dust activity visible
on these images, but this
morning I made another shot with a
bright patch, I'll process that one tomorrow after a good night of sleep. I
changed the processing also a bit, I left the colour unchanged.

Mars 2003/7/3 reprocessed
Dear Masami,
after some advice of Stefan Seip
(Thanks!) I've processed my latest images a bit brighter and had also a peek at
the frontpage of the S&T of June for the colour. It might still lack a bit
of colour, but I'm afraid that's all this image can bear.
Now I've really start to process on the
2003/7/4 image, thank goodness it's cloudy tonight!
Cheers,
