Subject: Virus alert

 Dear Masatsugu and Masami,

I receive a great number of strange messages from the address VZV03210@nifty.com, with various titles and intermediate addresses.

As I suspect that they are generated by a virus, I destroy all of them without reading the attached files.

 With best regards.

Subject: CMO meeting

 Dear Masatsugu,

I am happy to tell you that I no longer receive the strange e-mails which were sent by your computer. So, I think that you succeeded to fix the virus problem. I imagine it was a great trouble as you use the computer a lot for the CMO work.

Here, we receive everyday various spamming like pornographic sites and advertisements to get slim or earn a lot of money without effort. It seems that there is little possibility to filter such e-mail. I also received viruses several times, but there was no problem since I systematically follow the advice which was given by our supervisor to never open attached files. Of course it sometimes makes things difficult.

It seems that, this evening, we may have nice weather to see Mercury over Eiffel tower, but, generally, at Sorbonne Observatory, I am more busy with problems such as repeated power failures and ageing of the mechanism for moving and opening the cupola. Also, when the weather is bad, it often happens that the public does not come at all, so that our presenter comes for nothing. This is especially frustrating for younger presenters. I remember that, in Fukui, the public was present whatever the weather could be.

Presently, I am preparing my visit in Japan this summer, and I will be happy if I can meet you again at the CMO meeting. Do you know presently when it will take place? Probably Hiki-san is already busy at organizing it.

With best wishes for all of you.

Subject: Mercury

 Dear Masatsugu,

We succeeded to see the 5 planets on May 7 from the tower of Sorbonne Observatory, even though only Venus and Jupiter were visible with naked eye. When I looked again yesterday evening from my garden, Mercury was no longer visible, but I could see the 4 other planets.

I hope you had nice weather on May 10.

I am still waiting for the schedule of the meeting of Japanese models theorists, which is generally held at Yamanaka-ko. Generally, it takes place later in August, so that I hope it is compatible with the CMO Meeting.

As you imagined, like Fukui observatory, Sorbonne observatory has a rooftop around the dome. As it is 39 meters above the street, there is a nice view of old Paris all around. In the brick walls of the dome, you can see holes made by bullets, as snipers were standing there during the fight for the liberation of Paris, in August 1944.

Unfortunately, the rooftop is only 50 centimeters wide, and the iron guard rail around is not so high, so that you can fall directly in the street. Consequently, it is strictly prohibited to take the public there.

Probably you will imagine that some presenters anyway take the public to the rooftop. Even, you may imagine that, when the public just consists of a charming lady, the presenter kindly holds her hand while walking around, so that she does not feel scared.

Anyway, according to the regulations, such things are never supposed to happen.

With best wishes for the organization of the CMO Meeting.
