From TAN Wei-Leong

@. . . . . I am attaching my latest mars image along with this mail.

Had to apologize for not imaging sooner. My wife delivered my 1st baby girl during the 3rd day of the lunar new year and I had been busy since then.

I also had a defective CCD camera and laptop computer. Which has caused the big delay. Nevertheless I made an extra effort to wake up at 3am and trying to get some images although the seeing was pretty bad. High clouds rolled just as I was about to start the exposure. Nevertheless this is my results.

This morning I setup my camera which has just return after repairs from the factory. I discovered that my laptop had a defective parallel port and had to carry my desktop computer to the field at the very last min. Not too much fun at 4am in the morning.

The data of my image is as follows.

MARS IMAGE 12th April 2001

Tan Wei Leong, Singapore. SBIG ST7E CCD camera

@. . . . . I've attached an updated version of my mars image. There is a error in the universal time which has been corrected in this new image as well as the orientation of the planet. I hope this is not too much trouble for you.

Regards.
