. . . . Just a short note to say hello and that
I have been waiting a long time to resume our work together! I made my first
observations of Mars for the 2000-2001 last month, and will be sending them
shortly. In addition to the 155mm f7
refractor that I used in 1999, I will be using a homebuilt 32cm f7 reflector on a dobsonian mount.
Please remind me again how you would like sketches submitted so that I may be
consistent with other observers in CMO.
Respectfully
Yours,

@. .
. . . . . Please find enclosed my observations of Mars for the month of
December 2000. I will be using a 12.5 inches f6.8 reflector as well as the 6.1 inches f7 refractor used for the last Mars observing season. Again, as I
mentioned in our email correspondence, I am happy to once again be contributing
to the CMO. I enjoy reading every issue
of the CMO Reports from cover to cover. Often they contain information useful
in explaining details I have seen on the Red planet.
I am submitting the observations as
requested one-per-page, and I hope my interpretation of the form is
satisfactory. If not, please let me know and I will change them as directed.
If all goes
well, I plan to contribute ccd images as well,
however, I have been unable to obtain any worthwhile images yet. My compliments
to you, Your colleagues, and to Donald Parker for
producing some very fine observations this early in the apparition!
