With fair seeing but worsening high clouds only limited data was obtained before being clouded out.

The morning clouds are still prominent, and the two small clouds noted at the evening limb would be near the western edge of Syrtis Major.

Hi all,

Here is a long series of observations of the "fireworks" on the northern tropics of Jupiter.

The two main leading plumes are really perceived as bright at the eyepiece, not only "light".

They are still very bright on images even in UV.

The trail of the outbreaks is now rapidly reviving the belt.

¤••••• Subject: Mars images with nice Tharsis cloud activity! 1st February 2025

Received: 4 February 2025, 04:55 JST

Hi, all good seeing for once last saturday. Tharsis is displaying nice cloud activity.

Take blue light images of Mars! It's more surprising than the surface markings...

I'm adding a simulation to show where the ring of 6 white patches locate on the surface. The most northerly one corresponds to Alba Patera and the weakest one just beneath corresponds to a small dome.

A still faint equatorial cloud belt looks to be building up already. As for now it is only clearly visible in UV ligth.

Thin blue-white clouds are present at high southern latitudes. The NPC is getting smaller.
